Consideration and possible action to select Brown & Brown as the Town's Health Insurance Broker of Record

Background The Town issued Request for Professional Services (RPS) No. 7-1033-0-2026/FVR for health insurance broker services to provide group medical insurance benefits for Town employees. The solicitation was published in the Daily Business Review , on the Town website, MiamiDade.gov, and DemandStar.com. The Town received two responsive proposals—from Brown & Brown and Gelin Benefits Group. An evaluation committee, consisting of the Human Resources Director, Capital Improvements Projects Director, and Finance Director, independently reviewed and scored each submission based on the following criteria: Firm Qualifications Project Team Previous Similar Projects & References Project Implementation Strategy The committee met on June 1 to discuss the proposals. The evaluation committee members individually and collectively ranked Brown & Brown as the top proposer.
