CITY OF CORAL GABLES, FLORIDA RESOLUTION NO. 2020-259 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION ACCEPTING THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE CHIEF PROCUREMENT OFFICER TO APPROVE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A PRE- QUALIFIED POOL OF PROFESSIONAL TENNIS INSTRUCTORS FOR PROFESSIONAL TENNIS SERVICES, FOR AN INITIAL PERIOD OF THREE (3) YEARS WITH THE OPTION TO RENEW FOR TWO (2) ADDITIONAL ONE (1) YEAR PERIODS. FURTHER AUTHORIZING, IN ACCORDANCE WITH REQUEST TO QUALIFY (RTQ) NO. 2020-010, THE ABILITY TO ADD QUALIFIED PROFESSIONAL TENNIS INSTRUCTORS TO THE PRE- QUALIFIED POOL WHEN DEEMED IN THE CITY'S BEST INTEREST WITHOUT FURTHER CITY COMMISSION ACTION, PURSUANT TO SECTION 2-763 OF THE PROCUREMENT CODE ENTITLED "CONTRACT AW ARD". WHEREAS, on May 20, 2020, the Procurement Division of Finance formally advertised, issued, and distributed RTQ 2020-010 for Professional Tennis Services ("The RTQ"); and WHEREAS, a total of twenty-one (21) prospective providers downloaded the RTQ package from PublicPurchase, the City's web-based e-Procurement service; and WHEREAS, on June 17, 2020, eighteen (18) responses were received and evaluated by the Procurement Division and deemed responsive per the requirements of the R TQ; and WHEREAS, the firms as listed in "Exhibit 1", attached and incorporated, have been deemed qualified; and WHEREAS, the established pre-qualified pool may be amended, as it may be deemed necessary and, in the City's, best interest; and WHEREAS, if the City elects to add to the pre-qualified pool, submitters seeking to pre-qualify must meet the same minimum qualifications established within the R TQ; and WHEREAS, Section 2-585 of the Procurement Code authorizes the City Manager to delegate authority to the Chief Procurement Officer to administer and make recommendations on City contracts; Page 1 of 2 - Resolution No. 2020-259

NOW, THEREFORE

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CORAL GABLES: SECTION 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption hereof. SECTION 2. That the City Commission accepts the recommendation of the Chief Procurement Officer to approve the establishment of a pre-qualified pool of professional tennis instructors for Professional Tennis Services, to be utilized for various tier categories, on an as needed project basis, for an initial period of three (3) years with the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year periods for an amount not to exceed the available budget; further authorizing, in accordance with the Request to Qualify (RTQ) No. 2020-010, the ability to add qualified proposers to the pre-qualified pool when deemed in the City of Coral Gables' best interest without further City Commission action, pursuant to Section 2-763 of the Procurement Code entitled "Contract Award".
