Second reading and public hearing of proposed ordinance providing for a Special Primary Election to be held in the City of Hialeah on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, the same date as the General Election for Miami-Dade County, to fill a vacancy for City Council Member Group Seat II, in accordance with
02(c)(1) of the City Charter, providing for a Special General Election (Run-Off Election) to be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2026, if necessary; providing for the Office of the Supervisor of Elections of Miami- Dade County to conduct these elections and other matters relating thereto; and providing for early voting times and dates for the City of Hialeah Special Primary Election and no early voting for the City of Hialeah Special General Election, should a Special General Election be held; repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith; providing for a severability clause; and providing for an effective date. On June 9, 2026, the City Council approved the item on first reading. Second reading and public hearing is scheduled for June 23, 2026, at 5:30 p.m.
