Replace Standard Industrial Classification with NAICS in local business tax schedule

Approval of an ordinance amending the city code of ordinance to replace the standard industrial classification system tab 9 an ordinance of the city of homestead, florida, amending the city code of ordinances by amending chapter 16 "local business taxes and business regulations," article ii, "local business tax city council meeting page 3 of 8 february 18, 2026 receipts," section 16-40, "schedule of local business taxes," by adopting the north american industry classification system (naics) manual to replace the standard industrial classification (sic) system as the standard by which all businesses, occupations, and professions subject to a local business tax shall be classified; repealing and replacing related provisions to reflect the adoption of the naics manual; providing for severability; providing for inclusion in the code; providing for conflicts; and providing for an effective date.
