A resolution of the mayor and city commission of the city of miami beach, florida, accepting the recommendation of the public safety and neighborhood quality of life committee at its may 17, 2022 meeting, and directing the city administration and city attorney’s office to engage with the eleventh judicial circuit court of florida, in order to determine the viability of assigning certain county court judges to exclusively preside over city of miami beach criminal misdemeanor and municipal ordinance violation cases, thereby creating a miami beach judicial pool; and further, requesting the city administration to report back to the city commission, within ninety (90) days, regarding the feasibility of such initiative which, if potentially achievable, should include the identification of prospective costs, funding sources and a plan for implementation.
