A resolution of the mayor and city commission of the city of miami beach, expressing gratitude to florida senators shevrin jones, alexis calatayud, and ileana garcia, and representatives vicki lopez and fabian basabe for their advocacy on behalf of the city of miami beach with regard to senate bill 1730 (the “live local act”) during the 2025 florida legislative session, which includes important protections for the character of historic neighborhoods; and further, directing the city clerk to transmit a copy of this resolution to the respective elected officials listed herein.
