RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the Mayor and Commission of the City of Miami Beach, Florida authorize the issuance of Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for construction engineering and inspection (CEI) services to support current and future capital projects. BACKGROUND/HISTORY Adequate management of construction projects by City departments requires construction engineering and inspection (CEI) services during construction. CEI services are one of the most important elements of quality construction and contract administration. The ability to have a rotating list of CEI firms available to provide these services for various City departments enables the effective and efficient management of the construction phase of capital projects. The current agreement for these services expires on November 13, 2022.
