A resolution of the mayor and city commission of the city of miami beach, florida, approving an enhancement of support services for city commissioners who currently have only one (1) legislative aide to enable them to better serve the public and authorizing each such commissioner to retain additional professional support, either on a full-time or part-time employee basis or, in the alternative, as an independent contractor for such services in accordance with applicable city policies and procedures; further, providing that the fiscal impact of this measure, per commissioner, shall not exceed the equivalent costs to the city for employing a full-time legislative aide (approximately $120,000, inclusive of salary, pension and other benefits); and further, waiving, by 5/7th vote, the finance and economic resiliency committee review requirement in accordance with section 2-14(d)(1)(a) of the city code.
