A resolution of the mayor and city commission of the city of miami beach, florida, directing the city administration to develop a comprehensive plan for the installation and daily use of metal detectors at all public entrances to city hall, consistent with florida law which generally allows the concealed carry of weapons in public buildings and preempts local regulation of weapons, for the purpose of maintaining public safety; and further, directing the city administration to present its developed plan to the mayor and city commission at the june 25, 2025 city commission meeting.
