A resolution of the mayor and city commission of the city of miami beach, florida, directing the city administration to establish and implement a permanent policy prohibiting the parking of vehicles owned, leased, rented, or otherwise operated by the city in surface parking lots and first-floor parking garage spaces fronting, or adjacent to, lincoln road and 17th street in order to: prioritize parking for residents, customers, visitors and other members of the public; improve the appearance and functionality of the public realm; and support the continued activation of the city’s premier commercial corridors; and further, directing the city administration to provide limited exceptions to such policy for city vehicles responding to emergencies, calls for service, or actively engaged in maintenance, inspection, repair, construction, or other operational activities.
