A resolution of the mayor and city commission of the city of miami beach, florida, accepting the recommendation of the land use and sustainability committee made at its september 28, 2022 meeting, and urging the miami dade county public schools ("mdcps") to approve a ground lease or other conveyance in favor of miami- dade county, consisting of unutilized and/or underutilized portions of the fienberg-fisher school campus located at 610 espanola way (the "property"), to permit miami-dade county to partner with the jewish community services of south florida ("jcs") for the purpose of developing affordable and workforce housing units on the property, to be co-located with jcs's social services and educational activities on the property, in furtherance of the paramount public purpose of increasing the inventory of affordable and workforce housing units in the city of miami beach, and prioritizing the availability of such affordable and workforce housing for the benefit of income-eligible mdcps employees, individuals who work in the city of miami beach, and jcs clients.
