Direct modifications to Fire Station No. 1 project to preserve running track use

A resolution of the mayor and city commission of the city of miami beach, florida, establishing that IT is the policy of the city commission that the fire station no. 1 construction project at flamingo park shall not result in the relocation of any portion of the running track and field or the extended interruption to the use thereof; and accordingly, directing the city administration (1) to issue a directive to wannemacher jensen architects, INC. (design consultant) to implement such modifications to the construction drawings for fire station no. 1 as are necessary to ensure the running track and field will remain where currently located, (2) to develop a plan for construction of fire station no. 1 that prevents extended interruptions to the use of the running track and field to residents and (3) to prepare the necessary amendment to the professional services agreement between the city and the design consultant (agreement) to incorporate the additional design services required into the agreement’s scope of work.
