Approve and authorize city action

A resolution of the mayor and city commission of the city of miami beach, florida, approving and authorizing the city of miami beach to accept a donation in the amount of: $1,000,000.00 from lennar foundation, INC.; $500,000, from the miami foundation; and $480,000, from the knight foundation, in the total amount of $1,980,000, with the donated funds to be dedicated for the climate summit miami beach host committee, a local not-for-profit corporation of the state of florida (the “committee”), in connection with its educational and charitable activities relating to the aspen ideas climate conference and related events; further, authorizing the city manager and city clerk to execute a grant agreement with the committee, for the donated funds to be used in furtherance of public purposes related to the 2022 aspen ideas climate conference in the city of miami beach.
