A resolution of the mayor and city commission of the city of miami beach, florida, accepting the recommendation of the finance and economic resiliency committee (ferc) at its may 6, 2026 meeting; authorizing a five (5) year extension of the joint use agreement (jua) with the school board of miami-dade county, which governs the use of the miami beach senior high school playfield basketball courts and parking lot;

A resolution of the mayor and city commission of the city of miami beach, florida, accepting the recommendation of the finance and economic resiliency committee (ferc) at its may 6, 2026 meeting; authorizing a five (5) year extension of the joint use agreement (jua) with the school board of miami-dade county, which governs the use of the miami beach senior high school playfield basketball courts and parking lot; directing the administration to consider collaboration and funding, during the FY 2027 budget process, for the resurfacing and striping of up to four (4) outdoor basketball courts for dual use as pickleball courts; authorizing the city manager to negotiate and finalize an amendment to effectuate the five-year extension and, if approved through the FY 2027 budget process, to incorporate any additional funding; and further, authorizing the city manager and city clerk to execute said amendment.
