A resolution of the mayor and city commission of the city of miami beach, florida, directing the city administration to work with its existing consultant, midatlantic solid waste consultants, (a) to prepare a request for proposals (RFP) for a “single hauler” to provide multi-family and commercial waste collection and disposal services, such RFP to be reviewed and approved by the mayor and city commission prior to issuance and (b) simultaneously to prepare an analysis addressing (1) the fiscal impact of transitioning to a single hauler system, (2) the feasibility of a hybrid system, and (3) the efficacy of waste hauler systems used in similarly unique coastal cities.
