Hudak, City Manager DATE: March 9, 2022 SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR APPROVAL TO AWARD A CONTRACT PURSUANT TO INVITATION TO BID (ITB) 2022-113-ND, POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENT UNIFORM AND ACCESSORIES TO THE PRIMARY AND SECONDARY VENDORS, AS SET FORTH IN ATTACHMENT “A”. RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the Mayor and City Commission approve the award of a contract for Police and Fire Department uniforms and accessories to the lowest responsive, responsible bidders, as primary and secondary vendors, as set forth in Attachment A. BACKGROUND/HISTORY On September 1, 2016, the City issued Invitation to Bid (ITB) 2016-178-AK for Police and Fire Department Uniforms and Accessories. On December 14, 2016, the Mayor and City Commission awarded a contract to the lowest bidder. The City’s current contract for these services expires in February 2022. To consider a replacement contract, this ITB seeks to establish a contract, by means of sealed bids, with a qualified firm(s) to provide apparel and accessories to the Police and Fire Departments. ANALYSIS The ITB was issued on October 26, 2021, with a bid opening date of December 10, 2021. Three addenda were issued. Approximately 6,375 vendors were notified via the City’s e- procurement system. Seventy prospective bidders accessed the advertised solicitation. The
