A resolution of the mayor and city commission of the city of miami beach, florida, referring an item to the public safety and neighborhood quality of life committee to review and consider amendments to the requirements in the naming ordinance, set forth in chapter 82, article vi of the city code, to streamline and improve the procedures and policies regarding the renaming and co-naming of streets in the city of miami beach; and further, imposing a temporary moratorium on the placement of any item on a city commission agenda or commission committee agenda to rename or co-name a street or any portion thereof, effective may 20, 2026, through the earlier of (1) the adoption by the city commission of amendments to the naming ordinance, or (2) november 30, 2026, which is six months from the adoption of this resolution.
