A resolution of the mayor and commission of the city of miami beach, florida, accepting the recommendation of the finance and economic resiliency committee at its july 26, 2024 meeting to bridge miami beach fienberg fisher k-8 funding gap in light of their title i funding loss by directing the administration to negotiate an agreement with the school board of miami-dade county for the use of the parking lots at miami beach fienberg fisher k-8, with any profits from the use of the lot allocated as follows (1) fund all city of miami beach upfront costs related to parking lot utilization including but not limited to installation of parking meters, trash cans, and parking staff monitoring (2) fund all city related costs during public utilization and (3) any profits beyond city costs to be shared with the school board of miami-dade county with a percent allocated to public schools located in the city of miami beach and a percent to be utilized by the school board of miami-dade county at their discretion across all miami-dade county public school; and further authorizing the city manager or his/her designee to execute all agreements or documents upon conclusion of successful negotiations by the administration.
