A resolution of the mayor and city commission of the city of miami beach, florida, directing the city administration to ensure that, within the next 6 months, all fire department personnel complete an assault and abuse training course designed to familiarize emergency responders with the unique patient care considerations and characteristics inherent in situations involving incidents of sexual assault and abuse; and directing that all fire department personnel hired after implementation of this resolution also complete the aforementioned assault and abuse training within 6 months of their initial hire; and further, directing the administration to ensure that fire department personnel complete a different, but equally applicable, assault and abuse training every 2 years thereafter.
