A resolution of the mayor and city commission of the city of miami beach, florida, accepting the recommendation of the finance and economic resiliency committee to direct the administration to negotiate a special event sponsorship agreement with the fifa world cup host committee for 2026 fifa world cup-related events in miami beach, such sponsorship agreement to include: (1) a maximum cash sponsorship contribution of $1.5 million, (2) a waiver of special event fees, lummus park user fees, square footage fees, city services in an amount not to exceed $500,000, (3) a zone of exclusivity, (4) pouring rights exclusivity waiver, and (5) the public benefits to include, without limitation, a fifa world cup kickoff concert, official watch party location in north beach and potential legacy project in the city’s parks; and further, authorizing the city manager and city clerk to execute the sponsorship agreement.
