A resolution of the mayor and city commission of the city of miami beach, florida, directing the city administration to identify and plan for the deployment of additional law enforcement officers or, alternatively, traffic control officers, to direct traffic and/or operate traffic control devices on major corridors in the city including, but not limited to, 5th street, 41st street, 63rd street, 71st street, belle isle, and north bay / alton road during the peak hours (4 p.m. – 7 p.m.) of traffic congestion; and further, directing the city administration to present its plan to the mayor and city commission at the february 22, 2023 city commission meeting, including any costs associated with this initiative, in an effort to mitigate the serious traffic congestion issues adversely affecting the quality of life of city residents.
