Ordinance no. 2026-09 (second reading) regulating the ownership and operation of motorized scooters (sponsored by commissioner fortuna smukler) an ordinance of the mayor and city commission of the city of north miami beach, florida, regulating the ownership and operation of motorized scooters; providing definitions; requiring registration; imposing an application fee and the issuance and display of a motorized scooter registration decal; providing for transfer of decals; addressing stolen, lost, mutiated, destroyed or illegible motorized scooter registration decals; providing requirements and restrictions; providing for penalties and enforcement and an effective date of enforcement; establishing an age restriction for the operation of motorized scooters; requiring government-issued photographic identification for the operation of motorized scooters; providing for codification, conflicts, scrivener's errors, severability, and an effective date.
