Award $225,922 drainage improvement bid to Hartec Group

RESOLUTION NO. 2025- A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AWARDING A BID TO HARTEC GROUP FOR THE DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT SW 130TH TERRACE CUL-DE-SAC; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Village issued an Invitation to Bid for the “Drainage Improvement SW 130TH Terrace Cul-De-Sac” project; and WHEREAS, sealed proposals were received by the published deadline; and WHEREAS, Hartec Group submitted the most responsive proposal;

NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Village Council hereby determines that Hartec Group has submitted the most responsive bid and hereby authorizes the Village Manager to enter into an agreement with said firm for the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, machinery, superintendence, and services necessary for the completion of the project as detailed in the Drainage Improvement SW 130TH Terrace Cul-De-Sac Project Invitation to Bid packet in an amount not to exceed $97,000.00. The project includes Reconstruction and New Pavement Installation, Milling and Resurfacing, as well as Pavement Removal. As a result of the ITB, the following five (5) bids were received by the January 28, 2025, deadline: Hartec Group $97,000.00 SC Contractors $128,955.80 V&G Construction $225,922.20 Rogar Management $196,135.00 Pabon Engineering $150,000.00 Based upon staff’s evaluation of the proposals, I hereby respectfully recommend the Village Council adopt the attached resolution awarding the contract for the Drainage Improvement SW 130TH Terrace Cul-De-Sac project to the lowest Bidder, Hartec Group, in the amount of $97,000.00.
