Award bid to M&J Consulting Group for Veterans Wayside Park Improvements

RESOLUTION NO. 2025- A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AWARDING A BID TO M&J CONSULTING GROUP FOR THE VETERANS WAYSIDE PARK IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Village issued an Invitation to Bid for the “Veterans Wayside Park Improvements” project; and WHEREAS, sealed proposals were received by the published deadline; and WHEREAS, M&J Consulting Group submitted the most responsive proposal;

NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Village Council hereby determines that M&J Consulting Group has submitted the most responsive bid and hereby authorizes the Village Manager to enter into an agreement with said firm for the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, machinery, superintendence, and services necessary for the completion of the project as detailed in the Veterans Wayside Park Improvements Project Invitation to Bid packet in an amount not to exceed $897,000.00. The project includes Sidewalk Concrete, Pavers, Lime rock, Electrical work, Landscaping, Furnishing, Tree Disposition, Clearing, Demolition, Paving, Grading and Drainage work. As a result of the ITB, the following three (3) bids were received by the January 22, 2025, deadline: Homestead Concrete and Drainage $1,606,286.00 Waypoint Contracting $1,198,500.00 M&J Consulting Group $897,000.00 Based upon staff’s evaluation of the proposals, I hereby respectfully recommend the Village Council adopt the attached resolution awarding the contract for the Veterans Wayside Park Improvements project to the lowest Bidder, M&J Consulting Group, in the amount of $897,000.00. Funding for this project was approved within the Fiscal Year 2025 Capital Improvement Projects for Veterans Wayside Park.
