RESOLUTION NO. 2026- A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH ROBERTSON RECREATIONAL SURFACES FOR THE PINECREST GARDENS SPLASH PAD; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-290 of the Code of Ordinances, the Village Manager is authorized to execute contracts, for purchases equal to or more than $50,000.00 but less than $100,000.00, without formal competitive bidding, with Village Council approval and quotes from at least three different vendors; and WHEREAS, the Village engaged vendors and received proposals from the following: • Aqua-Seal Safety Resurfacing, LLC • Easy Grass Distributing, LLC • Robertson Recreational Surfaces WHEREAS, the Village Manager wishes to enter into a contract with Robertson Recreational Surfaces for the Pinecrest Gardens Splash Pad;

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Village Council hereby authorizes the Village Manager to enter into the attached agreement with Robertson Recreational Surfaces for the Pinecrest Gardens Splash Pad. Section 2. The Splash Pad is one of the Gardens’ most popular amenities and has deteriorated over time. It is now necessary to replace the surface to ensure the continued availability of this feature in a safe and sanitary condition for public use. The recommended vendor submitted the lowest responsive bid in the amount of $97,199. Although this total exceeds prior year preliminary estimates, the scope of work includes removal of the existing surface and installation of a new surface utilizing the same design, materials, and construction standards as previously completed. This project is budgeted, and the overage will be offset by transferring funds from another capital improvement project that was completed under budget.
