Authorize $100,000 contract for Pinecrest Gardens splash pad resurfacing

RESOLUTION NO. 2026- A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH ROBERTSON RECREATIONAL SURFACES FOR THE PINECREST GARDENS SPLASH PAD; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. The Splash Pad is one of the Gardens’ most popular amenities and has deteriorated over time. It is now necessary to replace the surface to ensure the continued availability of this feature in a safe and sanitary condition for public use. The recommended vendor submitted the lowest responsive bid in the amount of $97,199. Although this total exceeds prior year preliminary estimates, the scope of work includes removal of the existing surface and installation of a new surface utilizing the same design, materials, and construction standards as previously completed. This project is budgeted, and the overage will be offset by transferring funds from another capital improvement project that was completed under budget.
