Award $414,258 bid to Brouss Elevators for municipal center modernization

RESOLUTION NO. 2026- A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AWARDING A BID TO BROUSS ELEVATORS FOR THE PINECREST MUNICIPAL CENTER ELEVATORS MODERNIZATION PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Village issued an Invitation to Bid for the “Pinecrest Municipal Center Elevators Modernization” project; and WHEREAS, sealed proposals were received by the published deadline; and WHEREAS, Brouss Elevators submitted the most responsive proposal;

NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Village Council hereby determines that Brouss Elevators has submitted the most responsive bid and hereby authorizes the Village Manager to enter into an agreement with said firm for the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, machinery, superintendence, and services necessary for the completion of the project as detailed in the Pinecrest Municipal Center Elevators Modernization Project Invitation to Bid packet in an amount not to exceed $293,800.00. The project includes the modernization and implementation of the 2019 code requirements including elevator phone with camera to all three Municipal Center Elevators. As a result of the ITB, the following two (2) bids were received by December 26, 2025, deadline: South Florida Elevators Services Corp. $414,258.00 Brouss Elevators $293,800.00 Based upon staff’s evaluation of the proposals, I hereby respectfully recommend the Village Council adopt the attached resolution awarding the contract for the Pinecrest Municipal Center Elevators Modernization project to the lowest Bidder, Brouss Elevators, in the amount of $293,800.00. Funding for this project was approved within the Fiscal Year 2026 Capital Improvement Projects for $245,250.00. $48,550.00 from Fiscal Year 2026 Pinecrest Municipal Center Repairs and Maintenance account will be used to cover the difference.
