VILLAGE OF PINECREST, CASE NO.: 2022-022173-CA-01(32) The Executive Session was requested by the attorney at a public meeting and was duly noticed by the clerk. The vice mayor announced that the purpose of the Executive Session was to discuss litigation strategy and that the following individuals would be present at the session: • Members of the Village Council • Village Manager Galiano Gomez • Village Attorneys Mitchell Bierman and Joseph H. REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: Councilmember Hochkammer requested authorization to donate $5,000 for the HIP Program at Miami Palmetto Senior High School. The Council unanimously authorized the donation. Councilmember Fairman made a motion directing the manager to convert a Coral Pine Park tennis court into a four (4) pickleball court configuration as presented. The motion was seconded by Councilmember Abbott and adopted by a unanimous voice vote. The manager discussed the village employee medical premium increase for 2023. Councilmember del Prado made a motion to use the December 13, 2022 Village Council Meeting Page 7 of 8 #Pinecresting designated fund surplus to cover the 25% increase in premiums. The motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Hochkammer and adopted by a 4 – 1 roll call vote. The vote was as follows: Councilmembers Abbott, del Prado, Vice Mayor Hochkammer, and Mayor Corradino voting Yes; Councilmember Fairman voting No. The Council scheduled a workshop to discuss the Village’s Strategic Plan for January 18, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. The clerk submitted the roster of appointees to the 2023 Zoning Board. Councilmember del Prado made a motion ratifying the manager’s appointment of Katherine Castellanos and the mayor’s appointment of Jordan D. Chisolm pursuant to Division 2.3(a) of the Land Development Code. The motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Hochkammer and adopted by a unanimous voice vote. The vote was as follows: Councilmembers Abbott, del Prado, Fairman, Vice Mayor Hochkammer, and Mayor Corradino voting Yes. The manager addressed the Council. Councilmember Abbott made a motion adopting the resolution. The motion was seconded by Councilmember Fairman and adopted by a 3 – 0 – 2. The vote was as follows: Councilmembers Abbott and Fairman and Mayor Corradino voting Yes; Councilmembers del Prado and Hochkammer recused themselves from the vote due to conflicts. IX. PLANNING: There were no planning hearings to discuss. X.
