WHEREAS,on September 17, 1787, our Founding Fathers signed the Constitution of the United States establishing a framework for the foundation of our Nation’s Prosperity and liberties; and Whereas, this historic document is of central importance to our Nation and represents the timeless and enduring truths that inform the basic institutions of the American republic; and Whereas, it is fitting and proper to accord official recognition to this magnificent document and its memorable anniversary; and to the patriotic celebrations which all commemorate the occasion; and Whereas, in 1956, Constitution Week was commemorated by President Dwight D. Eisenhower from September 17 through September 23 and intended to be celebrated annually; and Whereas, Constitution Week in the Village of Pinecrest provides our residents opportunities to learn about the Constitution of the United States and reflect upon the unique principles of our great Nation;
Now, therefore, I, Joseph M. Corradino, Mayor of the Village of Pinecrest, Florida, on behalf of the Village Council and its citizens, do hereby proclaim the week of September 17—23, 2024 as U.S. Constitution Week In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Village Clerk to affix the Seal of the Village of Pinecrest, Florida this 14th day of September 2024 and do hereby encourage all citizens of the Village of Pinecrest to join me in reaffirming the ideals of the framers of the Constitution by vigilantly protecting the freedoms guaranteed to us by the Constitution of the United States of America and express gratitude for the privilege of American citizenship. _________________ Joseph M.
