Authorize $88,816 Metro Express contract for Moss Ranch Road milling and resurfacing

DATE: April 9, 2024 TO: The Honorable Mayor and Members of the Village Council FROM: Yocelyn Galiano, ICMA CM, Village Manager RE: Resolution Authorizing Roadway Resurfacing Moss Ranch Road from east of SW 64th Street to SW 62nd Street ______________________________________________________________________ Attached for your consideration is a resolution authorizing the Village Manager to enter into a contract with Metro Express for roadway resurfacing of Moss Ranch Road from east of SW 64 Street to SW 62nd Street in the amount of $88,816. The construction proposal is based on pricing provided in a piggy-back contract that was approved by the Village Council via Resolution 2023-8. Funding for this project is allocated in the FY 2024 Budget, Transportation Fund as miscellaneous roadway resurfacing. I hereby respectfully recommend the Village Council adopt the attached resolution authorizing the Village Manager to accept the proposal and enter into a contract for the aforementioned roadway work. RESOLUTION NO. 2024- A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH METRO EXPRESS FOR MOSS RANCH ROAD ROADWAY RESURFACING; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREFORE, the Village Council approved a piggyback contract with Metro Express for miscellaneous roadway resurfacing by Resolution 2023-8, which allotted funds in the FY Budget Transportation Fund; and

NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Village Council hereby authorizes the Village Manager to enter into a contract with Metro Express for roadway resurfacing of Moss Ranch Road from east of SW 64th Street to SW 62nd Street.
