Award $360,000 SC Contractors bid for sidewalk flags replacement project

RESOLUTION NO. 2025- A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AWARDING A BID TO SC CONTRACTORS FOR THE SIDEWALK FLAGS REPLACEMENT 2ND PHASE ROJECT; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Village issued an Invitation to Bid for the “Sidewalk Flags Replacement 2nd Phase” project; and WHEREAS, sealed proposals were received by the published deadline; and WHEREAS, SC Contractors submitted the most responsive proposal;

NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Village Council hereby determines that SC Contractors has submitted the most responsive bid and hereby authorizes the Village Manager to enter into an agreement with said firm for the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, machinery, superintendence, and services necessary for the completion of the project as detailed in the Sidewalk Flags Replacement 2nd Phase Project Invitation to Bid packet in an amount not to exceed $66,446.00. The project includes demolition, removal and disposal of existing sidewalk, form, placement, and finish of new sidewalk. As a result of the ITB, the following nine (9) bids were received by the march13, 2025, deadline: Pimentel Construction $92,700.00 The CGC Group $124,000.00 Rogar Management $71,977.00 V&G Construction Solutions $78,880.00 Star Paving Corporation $134,861.00 SC Contractors $66,446.00 Quality Paving $360,000.00 Metro Express $120,000.00 Homestead Concrete & Drainage $204,303.00 Based upon staff’s evaluation of the proposals, I hereby respectfully recommend the Village Council adopt the attached resolution awarding the contract for the Sidewalk Flags Replacement 2nd phase project to the lowest bidder, SC Contractors, in the amount of $66,446.00.
