Award $138,750 bid to A/C Service Doral for municipal center AC replacement

RESOLUTION NO. 2022- A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AWARDING A BID TO A/C SERVICE DORAL FOR THE MUNICIPAL CENTER PD AC UNIT REPLACEMENT PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Village issued an Invitation to Bid for the “Municipal Center PD AC Unit Replacement” project; and WHEREAS, sealed proposals were received by the published deadline; and WHEREAS, A/C Service Doral submitted the most responsive proposal;

NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Village Council hereby determines that A/C Service Doral has submitted the most responsive bid and hereby authorizes the Village Manager to enter into an agreement with said firm for the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, machinery, superintendence, and services necessary for the completion of the project as detailed in the Municipal Center PD AC Unit Replacement Project Invitation to Bid packet in an amount not to exceed $73,994.23. The project consist of replacing the Police Department Air Conditioning Unit. The project includes mechanical and electrical work. As a result of the ITB, the following six (6) bids were received by the March 18, 2022 deadline: DACAIR Conditioning Corporation $90,237.00 Okabrema $138,750.00 A/C Service Doral $73,994.23 Cool-Breeze Air Conditioning $114,295.00 Southern Comfort Solutions $112,900.00 Temptrol Air Conditioning $74,871.00 Based upon staff’s evaluation of the proposals, I hereby respectfully recommend the Village Council adopt the attached resolution awarding the contract for the Municipal Center PD AC Unit Replacement to the lowest Bidder, A/C Service Doral for $73,994.23.
