WHEREAS,founded in 1950, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital has been South Florida’s only freestanding pediatric hospital, home to 850 physicians and more than 500 pediatric subspecialists, and houses the largest pediatric teaching program in the southeastern United States; and Whereas, for seventy-five years, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital has remained dedicated to advancing pediatric healthcare, offering world-class treatment, and innovative research to improve the lives of children and families; and Whereas, the hospital is nationally recognized for excellence in numerous pediatric specialties, with many of its programs ranking among the best in the nation since 2008, according to U.S. News & World Report; and Whereas, as part of Nicklaus Children’s Health System, the hospital’s extensive network of outpatient and urgent care centers in South Florida has expanded access to quality care for families throughout Florida, the United States, and more than 100 countries; and Whereas, since the opening of its Pinecrest branch in 2018, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital has become a valued and trusted part of the Village of Pinecrest community, offering walk-in pediatric urgent care seven days a week in a child-focused environment, and a Sports Health Center for young athletes, including sports medicine consultations, performance and injury-prevention training, and rehabilitative therapy; and Whereas, the Pinecrest location has been a cherished part of the Pinecrest community by greatly expanding convenient access to high-quality pediatric care, and ensured that Pinecrest’s children can receive exceptional care close to home;

Now, therefore, I, Joseph M. Corradino, Mayor of the Village of Pinecrest, Florida, on behalf of the Village Council and its citizens, do hereby recognize and congratulate Nicklaus Children’s Hospital On the Occasion of its 75th Anniversary In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Village Clerk to affix the Seal of the Village of Pinecrest, Florida, this 5th day of December, 2025, and do hereby encourage all citizens of the Village of Pinecrest to join me in celebrating this remarkable achievement and to continue supporting this beloved local institution for many years to come.
