Award bid to Waypoint Contracting for equipment yard project

RESOLUTION NO. 2023- A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AWARDING A BID TO WAYPOINT CONTRACTING FOR THE FLAGLER GROVE PARK EQUIPMENT YARD PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Village issued an Invitation to Bid for the “Flagler Grove Park Equipment Yard” project; and WHEREAS, sealed proposals were received by the published deadline; and WHEREAS, Waypoint Contracting submitted the most responsive proposal;

NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Village Council hereby determines that Waypoint Contracting has submitted the most responsive bid and hereby authorizes the Village Manager to enter into an agreement with said firm for the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, machinery, superintendence, and services necessary for the completion of the project as detailed in the Flagler Grove Park Equipment Yard Project Invitation to Bid packet in an amount not to exceed $131,533.00. The project includes electrical work, concrete pouring, stucco finish and new door installation. As a result of the ITB, the following four (4) bids were received by the April 26, 2023 deadline: Waypoint Contracting $131,533.00 M & J General Contractors $140,000.00 Sleiman Construction $215,000.00 Arkest, LLC $199,059.02 Based upon staff’s evaluation of the proposals, I hereby respectfully recommend the Village Council adopt the attached resolution awarding the contract for the Flagler Grove Park Equipment Yard to the lowest Bidder, Waypoint Contracting, in the amount of $131,533.00. This project will be paid with $100,000 from budget allocation and $31,533.00 from Parks and Recreation Department Impact Fees.
