Section 2. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 10th day of September, 2024. Joseph M. Corradino, Mayor Attest: ____________________________ Priscilla Torres, MMC Village Clerk Approved as to Form and Legal Sufficiency: ____________________________ Mitchell Bierman Village Attorney Consent Agenda MEMORANDUM DATE: August 29, 2024 TO: Yocelyn Galiano, ICMA-CM, Village Manager FROM: Robert C. Mates, CPRE, CPSI, Parks and RecreaƟon Director RE: Aleyda Mas Park Master Plan Contract NegoƟaƟons On April 12, 2024, the Village received bids for developing the master plan and construcƟon documents for the Aleyda Mas Park renovaƟon project. During the Village Council MeeƟng on June 11, 2024, the Council approved contract negoƟaƟons for this project with the highest- ranking firm, Urban Robot. Urban Robot has submited a proposal to complete the enƟre project for $961,450. This proposal aligns with the fees paid for the Coral Pine Park RenovaƟon Project that is currently underway. The Aleyda Mas Park RenovaƟon Project is being developed as a two-phased approach, with the iniƟal phase including the master plan and conceptual design documents followed by a second phase, which will complete the construcƟon documents and construcƟon administraƟon. Urban Robot’s proposal for the master plan and conceptual design phase is $250,000. This funding has been set aside in the Fiscal Year 2025 budget. The remaining funding of $711,450 would be conducted through contract administraƟon and is included in the potenƟal bond being issued for construcƟng Aleyda Mas Park. The Parks and RecreaƟon Department recommends that the Village accept Urban Robot’s proposal to iniƟate Phase I of the Aleyda Mas Park project for $250,000. AddiƟonally, we advise that the Village commit to Urban Robot’s full proposal, pending the approval of the future bond, to ensure the successful compleƟon of the project.
