RESOLUTION NO. 2026- A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE PINECREST GARDENS ADMISSION FEE SCHEDULE; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, staff has proposed an amendment to the general admission fee for Pinecrest Gardens effective April 1, 2026; and WHEREAS, the adjustment is intended to enhance cost and recovery for the campus’ maintenance and repair needs;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the fee schedule for entrance to Pinecrest Gardens is hereby amended effective April 1, 2026, to provide for the following: General Admission $8.00 Seniors (65+) $5.00 Section 2. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED this ____ day of ____________, 2026. Joseph M. Corradino, Mayor Attest: Priscilla Torres, MMC Village Clerk Approved as to Form and Legal Sufficiency: Mitchell Bierman Village Attorney Consent Agenda DATE: January 28, 2026 TO: Yocelyn Galiano, ICMA-CM, LEED GA, Village Manager FROM: Cristina Blanco, Pinecrest Gardens Director RE: Garden Admission I respectfully recommend approval of an update to Pinecrest Gardens’ general admission rates, increasing the current $3 and $5 fees to $5 and $8, effective April 1, 2026. This adjustment is part of the Gardens’ fiscal year business plan and responds to the Village Council’s direction to improve cost recovery for campus maintenance and repair needs. Even with this increase, Pinecrest Gardens will continue to offer the lowest admission rates among comparable cultural and botanical institutions, maintaining broad public access while advancing fiscally responsible operations. Staff will implement advance public communications prior to the effective date. I respectfully recommend adoption of the attached resolution approving the updated admission rates.
