Award $816,960 bid to wrap traffic signal infrastructure

RESOLUTION NO. 2023- A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AWARDING A BID TO VALENTINO’S PAINTING SIGNS CORP. FOR THE WRAPPING OF TRAFFIC SIGNAL MAST ARMS, POLES, AND CONTROLLER CABINETS PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Village issued an Invitation to Bid for the “Wrapping of Traffic Signal Mast Arms, Poles and Controller Cabinets” project; and WHEREAS, sealed proposals were received by the published deadline; and WHEREAS, Valentino’s Painting Signs Corp. submitted the most responsive proposal;

NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Village Council hereby determines that Valentino’s Painting Signs Corp. has submitted the most responsive bid and hereby authorizes the Village Manager to enter into an agreement with said firm for the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, machinery, superintendence, and services necessary for the completion of the project as detailed in the Wrapping of Traffic Signal Mast Arms, Poles and Controller Cabinets Project Invitation to Bid packet in an amount not to exceed $192,200.00. As a result of the ITB, the following two (2) bids were received by the March 1, 2023 deadline: Valentino’s Painting Signs Corp. $192,200.00 Doral Digital Reprographics $816,960.00 Based upon staff’s evaluation of the proposals, I hereby respectfully recommend the Village Council adopt the attached resolution awarding the contract for the Wrapping of Traffic Signal Mast Arms, Poles and Controller Cabinets project to the lowest Valentino’s Painting Signs Corp. in the amount of $192,200.00.
