Whereas, Steven R. Olmsted began his public service career over 40 years ago as a Planner for the City of Battle Creek; and Whereas, Steven R. Olmsted began his career with the Village of Pinecrest on October 12, 2010, and has faithfully served as Planning Director for over 15 years; and Whereas, under Steve R. Olmsted’s leadership, the Planning Department has carried out critical responsibilities

WHEREAS,Steven R. Olmsted began his public service career over 40 years ago as a Planner for the City of Battle Creek; and Whereas, Steven R. Olmsted began his career with the Village of Pinecrest on October 12, 2010, and has faithfully served as Planning Director for over 15 years; and Whereas, under Steve R. Olmsted’s leadership, the Planning Department has carried out critical responsibilities including site plan review, development applications, variance and zoning review, subdivision and land use regulations, and coordination of planning matters before advisory boards and the Village Council; and Whereas, Steven R. Olmsted’s hard work, talent and leadership have been essential in guiding the Department in supervising code compliance functions, business tax receipt reviews, and related regulatory processes essential to orderly and well-managed development within the Village; and Whereas, Steven R. Olmsted’s current service in Pinecrest is distinguished by his dedication to the fair and equitable application and enforcement of the Village’s Code of Ordinances; and Whereas, Steven R. Olmsted has always demonstrated a strong commitment to his profession and served as an active member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP); and Whereas, Steven R. Olmsted has been happily married for over 24 years to his wife Diane, a retired law office administrator; and Whereas, Steven R. Olmsted’s dedication, professionalism, visionary thinking, loyalty, likeability and most importantly his integrity are his trademarks that will always be fondly remembered and have earned the respect of colleagues, elected officials, and the community, leaving a lasting impact on the planning framework and future vision of the Village of Pinecrest;

Now, therefore, I, Joseph M. Corradino, Mayor of the Village of Pinecrest, Florida, on behalf of the Village Council and its citizens, do hereby proclaim Friday, May 1, 2026 as Steven R. Olmsted Day In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Village Clerk to affix the Seal of the Village of Pinecrest, Florida this 1st day of May, 2026 and do hereby encourage all citizens of Pinecrest to join me in recognizing Steven R.Olmsted as an outstanding Village employee. _________________ Joseph M. Corradino Mayor Whereas, the prestigious Eagle Scout award is the highest advancement rank and a performance-based achievement earned only by a small percentage of those who join the Boy Scouts of America; and Whereas, Boy Scout Troop 457, sponsored by Pinecrest’s Kendall United Methodist Church, will conduct an Eagle Scout Court of Honor on May 2, 2026, to honor the 2026 Eagle Scouts; and Whereas, the Village of Pinecrest is proud to honor the following Boy Scouts from Troop 457 who achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and will be recognized at the Court of Honor on May 2, 2026:

Now, therefore, I, Joseph M. Corradino, Mayor of the Village of Pinecrest, Florida, on behalf of the Village Council and its citizens, do hereby proclaim Saturday, May 2, 2026 as Eagle Scout Day In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Village Clerk to affix the Seal of the Village of Pinecrest, Florida this 2nd day of May, 2026 and do hereby encourage all citizens of the Village of Pinecrest to join me in recognizing the achievements of the Eagle Scouts from Troop 457. Corradino Mayor • Sebastian Josue Portal • Luke Winslow Smith • Zachary William Smith Whereas, 2026 marks the 60th anniversary of The Villagers, Miami’s oldest historic preservation organization, founded in 1966 with a mission to protect, preserve, and promote the rich architectural and cultural heritage of our community; and Whereas, for six decades, The Villagers have played a vital role in safeguarding historic landmarks throughout Miami-Dade County, ensuring that future generations may experience and appreciate the region’s unique history and character; and Whereas, The Villagers have demonstrated an enduring commitment to preservation through advocacy, education, and the awarding of grants supporting the restoration of historically significant sites, including contributions to the Village of Pinecrest for the preservation and enhancement of Pinecrest Gardens; and Whereas, historic preservation strengthens community identity, fosters civic pride, supports economic vitality, and connects residents to the stories and places that define our shared heritage; and Whereas, the 60th anniversary of The Villagers provides an opportunity to recognize their lasting impact and to reaffirm the importance of preserving our historic resources for the benefit of present and future generations;

Now, therefore, I, Joseph M. Corradino, Mayor of the Village of Pinecrest, Florida, on behalf of the Village Council and its citizens, do hereby recognize and congratulate The Miami Villagers On the Occasion of its 60th Anniversary In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Village Clerk to affix the Seal of the Village of Pinecrest, Florida this 5th day of May, 2026, and do hereby encourage all citizens of the Village of Pinecrest to join me in celebrating this remarkable achievement and to commend the Villager’s outstanding contributions to historic preservation, while encouraging all residents to support and participate in efforts to protect and preserve our community’s historic treasures. _______________ Joseph M.
