RESOLUTION NO. 2026- A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AWARDING A BID TO SC CONTRACTOR, LLC FOR THE KENDALL DRIVE RAISED CROSSWALKS PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Village issued an Invitation to Bid for the “Kendall Drive Raised Crosswalks” project; and WHEREAS, sealed proposals were received by the published deadline; and WHEREAS, SC Contractor, LLC submitted the most responsive proposal;

NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Village Council hereby determines that SC Contractor, LLC has submitted the most responsive bid and hereby authorizes the Village Manager to enter into an agreement with said firm for the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, machinery, superintendence, and services necessary for the completion of the project as detailed in the Kendall Drive Raised Crosswalks Project Invitation to Bid packet in an amount not to exceed $745,528.00. Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of April, 2026. Joseph M. The project includes construction of six (6) raised crosswalks including all associated paving, surface treatments, stripping, signage, and restoration. As a result of the ITB, the following two (2) bids were received by April 1, 2026, deadline: Metro Express, INC $977,042.00 SC Contractors, LLC $745,528.00 Based on staff’s evaluation of the proposals received, I respectfully recommend that the Village Council adopt the attached resolution awarding the contract for the Kendall Drive Raised Crosswalks project to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, SC Contractor, LLC, in the amount of $745,528.00. The budgeted amount for this project is $880,750, resulting in a favorable variance of $135,222.00 below the allocated funding.
