Authorize fence installation agreement with Master Fabricators for Upper Garden Zoo

DATE: May 30, 2025 TO: Yocelyn Galiano, ICMA-CM, LEED GA, Village Manager FROM: Cristina Blanco, Pinecrest Gardens Director RE: Request for Vendor Proposal Approval – Upper Garden Zoo Fence I hereby request approval to proceed with a single source vendor proposal for the fabrication and installation of the fence extension at the Upper Garden Zoo. The vendor previously installed the existing fence, and utilizing the same company will ensure continuity in design, materials, and construction standards. This consistency is critical not only for aesthetic and structural uniformity but also for the safety of the animals, some of whom have begun attempting to jump the current fence height. Given the urgency of the situation and the need for seamless integration with the current structure, we believe using the original vendor is the most efficient and secure solution. The costs for this project will be funded through existing Parks Impact Fees. Thank you for your consideration. RESOLUTION NO. 2025- A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH MASTER FABRICATORS, INC. FOR THE UPPER GARDEN FENCE EXTENSION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Master Fabricators, Inc. is the sole vendor and previously installed the existing fence; and WHEREAS, the Village Manager wishes to enter into an agreement with Master Fabricators, Inc. for the Upper Garden Zoo Fence fabrication and installation;

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Village Council hereby authorizes the Village Manager to enter into the attached agreement with Master Fabricators, Inc. for the Upper Garden Zoo Fence fabrication and installation.
