State approves 67th Avenue shared use path transportation funding

This process was a collaborative effort between FDOT, Miami Dade Transportation Planning Organization’s (TPO) committees, and Monroe County’s evaluation committee. Please find the attached list of projects that are recommended for programming in FDOT’s Tentative Work Program. Projects are programmed dependent on project readiness and funding. Funding is subject to the availability of the federal funds and an annual appropriation by the legislature (the spending authority). Programming of Miami Dade County projects are pending the TPO Governing Board’s approval. Once approved, the TPO will provide notification of the selection status to the various Miami Dade agencies that applied for project funding. We appreciate the time and effort that all applicants put into preparing and presenting their project to our Districts Scoping committee. FDOT remains committed to the Transportation Alternatives program and looks forward to our continued collaboration with our stakeholders in improving the project selection and prioritization process.
