Award $1.175M bid to Alta Quality Builders for Pinecrest Gardens Nursery renovation

RESOLUTION NO. 2025- A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AWARDING A BID TO ALTA QUALITY BUILDERS FOR THE PINECREST GARDENS NURSERY RENOVATION PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Village issued an Invitation to Bid for the “Pinecrest Gardens Nursery Renovation” project; and WHEREAS, sealed proposals were received by the published deadline; and WHEREAS, Alta Quality Builders submitted the most responsive proposal;

NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Village Council hereby determines that Alta Quality Builders has submitted the most responsive bid and hereby authorizes the Village Manager to enter into an agreement with said firm for the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, machinery, superintendence, and services necessary for the completion of the project as detailed in the Pinecrest Gardens Nursery Renovation Project Invitation to Bid packet in an amount not to exceed $368,476.00. The project includes construction, installation and renovation of an existing Greenhouse, Shed Houses, Seed Store, Wood Fence, Chain-link Gate, Concrete Steps, Container Storage. The scope of work for this project includes and is not limited to, Demolition, Electrical, Plumbing and Mechanical, Landscaping, Asphalt Paving, Irrigation and Drainage work. As a result of the ITB, the following four (4) bids were received by the April 22, 2025, deadline: Alta Quality Builders $368,476.00 Shovel Construction $765,000.00 FSV Construction Company $974,404.00 Lunacon $1,175,000.00 Based upon staff’s evaluation of the proposals, I hereby respectfully recommend the Village Council adopt the attached resolution awarding the contract for the Pinecrest Gardens Nursery Renovation project to the lowest Bidder, Alta Quality Builders, in the amount of $368,476.00.
