Ceremonial proclamation honoring police officer Yosdany Viera

WHEREAS,Yosdany Viera began his career with the Village, on the 14th day of March, 2011; and Whereas, Yosdany Viera is a member of the Police Department’s Community Resource Team; and Whereas, Yosdany Viera was a dedicated member of the traffic unit as a motorman and consistently preforms his “regular” police officer duties at a level matched by few; and Whereas, Yosdany Viera created the “Pinecrest Batman” and uses it as a way to humanize the badge by showing up at community events, having a lasting impact on the youth and residents; and Whereas, Yosdany (Batman) Viera’s impact has been noticed well beyond the borders of the Village, by appearing at other community events in Miami-Dade County in response to numerous requests; and Whereas, Yosdany Viera performs his job at an exemplary level while demonstrating an extraordinary commitment to public service daily to the Pinecrest Community; and Whereas, Yosdany Viera consistently exceeds work demands and goes above and beyond in his commitment to the Village and its residents;

Now, therefore, I, Joseph M. Corradino, Mayor of the Village of Pinecrest, Florida, on behalf of the Village Council and its citizens, do hereby proclaim October 20, 2023 as Yosdany Viera Day In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Village Clerk to affix the Seal of the Village of Pinecrest, Florida this 20th day of October, 2023 and do hereby encourage all citizens of the Village of Pinecrest to join me in expressing gratitude to Yosdany Viera for his service and dedication to the Village of Pinecrest. _______________ Joseph M.
