We as county and municipal leaders must work together to find joint solutions to deliver the relief that residents deserve. I hereby support the following collaborative solutions to address the local housing crisis: • Municipalities and the County will share information on locally funded affordable and workforce housing projects. • Municipalities and the County will hold monthly convenings of county and municipal housing, zoning, and building officials with an initial special meeting including the school board, places of worships, and civic institutions to discuss coordinating on underused land to build affordable housing. • Miami-Dade County will work to reduce the sewer extension process in municipalities from ten days to five.
