Award $465,200 contract for emergency generator replacement

RESOLUTION NO. 2025- A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AWARDING A BID TO DION GENERATOR SOLUTIONS FOR THE PINECREST MUNICIPAL CENTER EMERGENCY GENERATOR REPLACEMENT PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Village issued an Invitation to Bid for the “Pinecrest Municipal Center Emergency Generator Replacement” project; and WHEREAS, sealed proposals were received by the published deadline; and WHEREAS, Dion Generator Solutions submitted the most responsive proposal;

NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Village Council hereby determines that Dion Generator Solutions has submitted the most responsive bid and hereby authorizes the Village Manager to enter into an agreement with said firm for the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, machinery, superintendence, and services necessary for the completion of the project as detailed in the Pinecrest Municipal Center Emergency Generator Replacement Project Invitation to Bid packet in an amount not to exceed $136,734.62. The project includes disposal of the existing generator, purchase and installing a new 300kW diesel generator. As a result of the ITB, the following two (2) bids and three (3) alternatives were received by the deadline July 3, 2025: Canseco Electrical Contractors $188,350.00 Canseco Electrical Contractors/Alt. B $465,200.00 Dion Generator Solutions $136,734.62 Dion Generator Solutions/Alt. B1 $218,940.50 Dion Generator Solutions/Alt. B2 $274,169.50 Based upon staff’s evaluation of the proposals, I hereby respectfully recommend the Village Council adopt the attached resolution awarding the contract for the Pinecrest Municipal Center Emergency Generator Replacement project to the lowest Bidder, Dion Generator Solutions, in the amount of $136,734.62.
