Authorize athletic field use agreements with five sports organizations

RESOLUTION NO. 2023- A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENTS WITH MIAMI PREMIER SOCCER CLUB, SOCCER SHOTS MIAMI, SUNILAND SUNDEVILS SPORTS GROUP INC., PINECREST PREMIER SOCCER CLUB, AND HOWARD PALMETTO BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION FOR PRIORITY ATHLETIC FIELD USE; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Village issued a Request for Proposals for Pinecrest Priority Athletic Field Use; and WHEREAS, the Village Manager received proposals by the published deadline; and WHEREAS, an evaluation committee has ranked the top proposals as follows: 1. Miami Premier Soccer Club 2. Soccer Shots Miami 3. Suniland Sundevils Sports Group Inc. 4. Pinecrest Premier Soccer Club 5. Howard Palmetto Baseball and Softball Association

NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Village Manager is hereby authorized to enter into agreements with Miami Premier Soccer Club, Soccer Shots Miami, Suniland Sundevils Sports Group Inc., Pinecrest Premier Soccer Club, and Howard Palmetto Baseball and Softball Association for Priority Athletic Field Use. The purpose of this RFP is to determine priority access to available athletic fields within the Village of Pinecrest. Athletic field use will be given in the order the leagues rank. Priority is given to the league that is operating in the main season for their respective sport. As a result of the RFP, the following five (5) proposals were received by the June 1, 2023 deadline: 1. Miami Premier Soccer Club 2. Soccer Shots Miami 3. Suniland Sundevils Sports Group Inc. 4. Pinecrest Premier Soccer Club 5. Howard Palmetto Baseball and Softball Association Based upon the selection committee’s evaluation of the qualifications and responsiveness, the firm were ranked in the following order: 1. Pinecrest Premier Soccer Club 2. Howard Palmetto Baseball and Softball Association Suniland Sundevils Sports Group Inc. 4. Miami Premier Soccer Club 5. Soccer Shots Miami I hereby respectfully recommend the Village Council adopt the attached resolution awarding the contract for Village of Pinecrest Priority Athletic Field Use to Pinecrest Premier Soccer Club, Howard Palmetto Baseball and Softball Association, Suniland Sundevils Sports Group Inc., Miami Premier Soccer Club and Soccer Shots Miami.
