Authorize $51,992 B&G Awnings contract for Suniland Park spectator canopy installation

RESOLUTION NO. 2023- A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH B&G AWNINGS CORP. FOR SUNILAND PARK SPECTATOR CANOPY INSTALLATION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Village Council hereby authorizes the Village Manager to enter into the attached agreement with B&G Awnings Corp. for Suniland Park Spectator Canopy Installation. Section 2. Mates, CPRE, CPSI, Parks and RecreaƟon Director RE: Suniland Park Spectator Canopy InstallaƟon The Parks and RecreaƟon Department solicited three quotes for the installaƟon of four shade structures located over the spectator bleachers at Suniland Park. B&G Awnings CorporaƟon provided the lowest cost proposal of $51,992.00 for this installaƟon. Funding for this project was approved within the Fiscal Year 2024 Capital Improvement Projects for Suniland Park. This project is also part of a larger Suniland Park improvement project that has received matching grant funding through the Florida RecreaƟon Development Assistance Program (FRDAP), which is administered through the Florida Department of Environmental ProtecƟon. The Parks and RecreaƟon Department recommends that the Village accept B&G Awnings CorporaƟon's proposal and install the shade canopies at Suniland Park.
