RESOLUTION NO. 2024- A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, EXPRESSING SUPPORT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE LUDLAM SHARED USE PATH EXTENSION PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Village Council adopted Resolution 2021-46 on June 8, 2021, adopting the 2021 Strategic Plan, including to design and construct the 67 Avenue Shared Use Path to create a link with the Snapper Creek Trail that connects to the Underline, Ludlam Trail and Old Cutler Trail; and WHEREAS, the Village Council supports the continuation of shared use path facilities northward from Kendall Drive to the future Snapper Creek Pocket Park located just south of the bridge; and WHEREAS, the proposed Ludlam Shared Use Path Extension Project design and construction costs are estimated to be $200,000; and WHEREAS, the Village Council instructed the Village Manager to seek alternative funding sources for large scale capital projects through the County Transportation Planning Organization and Florida Department of Transportation;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Village Council hereby expresses support for the development of the Ludlam Shared Use Path Extension Project and authorizes the Village Manager to seek grant funding in support of the project. Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 10th day of December, 2024. Joseph M. The attached resolution expresses Village Council’s support for the continuation of the Ludlam Shared Use Path northward from Kendall Drive to the future Snapper Creek Pocket Park located just south of the bridge. The proposed Ludlam Shared Use Path Extension Project design and construction costs are estimated to be $200,000. The Village will seek project funding through the County Transportation Planning Organization and Florida Department of Transportation.
