Ceremonial proclamation honoring Arnaldo Bomnin and automotive business

WHEREAS,Arnaldo Bomnin's commitment to his dreams led him to emigrate from Cuba to the United States in 1996, arriving with only a gold watch and three gold rings to his name; and Whereas, Arnaldo Bomnin's dedication and strong work ethic propelled him to become the proud owner of Bomnin Automotive Group, a conglomerate comprising thirteen franchises under eight rooftops; and Whereas, Bomnin Volvo Cars Dadeland's addition to Pinecrest signifies the American Dream's embodiment, representing a path to success and prosperity through dedication and entrepreneurship; and Whereas, Arnaldo Bomnin's dedication to our community goes beyond business success, as he provides employment to over 800 associates, demonstrating his commitment to giving others the opportunity to achieve their own American Dream; and Whereas, Arnaldo Bomnin's journey serves as an inspiration to all, exemplifying the values of hard work, determination, and the belief that in the United States, dreams can become reality;

Now, therefore, I, Joseph M. Corradino, Mayor of the Village of Pinecrest, Florida, on behalf of the Village Council and its citizens, do hereby proclaim, February 12, 2024 as Bomnin Volvo Cars Dadeland Day In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Village Clerk to affix the Seal of the Village of Pinecrest, Florida this 12th day of February, 2024 and do hereby encourage all citizens of Pinecrest to join me in recognizing Bomnin Volvo Cars Dadeland. _________________ Joseph M. Corradino Mayor Whereas, colorectal cancer is the second-leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States among men and women combined; and Whereas, colorectal cancer is one of the few cancers that can be prevented with timely screening, but 1 in 3 eligible Americans are not up to date on screening; and Whereas, colorectal cancer is estimated to be the number one cancer killer for those ages 20-49 by 2030; and Whereas, African-Americans are 20% more likely to be diagnosed with colorectal cancer and about 40% more likely to die from the disease than other groups; and Whereas, colorectal cancer is expected to account for 11% of cancer deaths among Hispanic men and 9% of cancer deaths for Hispanic women; and Whereas, in 2023 there were approximately 153,020 new cases and 52,550 deaths from colorectal cancer; and Whereas, the national goal established by the National Colorectal Cancer Roundtable is to strive to increase timely colorectal cancer screening rates to 80 percent in every community for all Americans eligible for screening; and Whereas, observing a Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month during the month of March would provide a special opportunity to increase awareness and offer education on the importance of early detection and screening of colorectal cancer;

Now, therefore, I, Joseph M.
