RESOLUTION NO. 2026- A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, REVISING CERTAIN FEES ASSESSED BY THE PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT FOR USE OF VILLAGE FACILITIES; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF PINECREST, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Village Council hereby revises certain fees assessed by the Parks and Recreation Department as outlined in the attached memorandum dated February 27, 2026. Section 2. MaƩes, CPRE, CPSI, Parks and RecreaƟon Director RE: Coral Pine Park MulƟpurpose Room Price Adjustment The Parks and RecreaƟon Department respecƞully requests Council’s consideraƟon to adjust the rental fee for the newly constructed MulƟpurpose Room at Coral Pine Park. The new building replaces the former structure and represents a significant enhancement in quality, design, and funcƟonality. The upgraded facility features modern finishes, expanded ameniƟes, and an increased capacity from 70 to 100 guests, posiƟoning it as a premier rental venue for the Parks and RecreaƟon Department. Based on a comparaƟve analysis of rental rates at other parks, Pinecrest Gardens, and surrounding municipaliƟes, the Department recommends establishing a rental rate of $750 for the first three (3) hours and $125 for each addiƟonal hour. This updated rate would include the use of both the mulƟpurpose room and a secƟon of the terrace as a combined rental space. Previously, the rental rate was $300 for the first three hours, plus $200 for the terrace, and $100 per addiƟonal hour aŌer the iniƟal three-hour period. The proposed price adjustment reflects the facility's elevated quality, expanded guest capacity, and current market condiƟons, while keeping the price affordable for the community. The Parks and RecreaƟon Department recommends that the revised rental rate become effecƟve upon the official opening of the new facility.
