Authorize $74,355 agreement for community center partition wall replacement

RESOLUTION NO. 2024- A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH FOLDING WALLS OF MIAMI, INC. FOR THE PINECREST COMMUNITY CENTER PARTITION WALLS REPLACEMENT; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Village issued a Request for Proposals for Pinecrest Community Center Partition Walls Replacement; and WHEREAS, the Village Manager received a proposal by the published deadline; and

NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Village Manager is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with Folding Walls of Miami, Inc. for Pinecrest Community Center Partition Walls Replacement. Section 2. The project involves furnishing and installing new partition walls replacing existing system. As a result of the RFP, a proposal from Folding Walls of Miami, Inc. was received by the May 30, 2024 deadline. The proposed total price for the project is $68,310.00. Based upon staff’s evaluation of the proposal, I hereby respectfully recommend the Village Council adopt the attached resolution awarding the contract for the Pinecrest Community Center Partition Walls Replacement to Folding Walls of Miami, Inc. This project was budgeted for $74,355.00 as part of the Pinecrest Community Center Capital Improvement.
